Personal trainer and fitness model Zack Corbo is used to getting what he wants. But when his dutiful and picture perfect partner dumps him, his fragile ego instantly shatters. Brokenhearted and desperate for validation, Zack is tempted by a mysterious new dating app called FONDL, which promises to heal his fresh romantic wounds.

Zack is bombarded with instant attention and propositions, but every time he uses it to get a quick fix of sex, it only leaves him feeling emptier. When Fondl targets him with anonymous but very personal insults to attack his waning self-esteem, Zack’s hunger for validation becomes insatiable and he begins to lose grip on reality.

Can Zack muster the courage to break the vicious cycle and rid himself of the insidious program, or will Fondl lure him with whatever he thinks he wants until it pushes him off the edge of sanity?

NARCISSUS is a short horror film and cautionary tale, which uses supernatural elements as metaphor to explore the addictive dangers of using dating or hook-up apps to fill the void.
